The Exfo FIP-400B are a series fibre inspection probes, newly introduced in late 2013, currently the FIP-410B, FIP-420B and the flagship FIP-430B.

In built focus protection on the FIP-420B and FIP-430B ensures that the inspection process for connector endface analysis (IEC, IPC) is not compromised and that all defects are correctly identified.

The FIP-400B series can be connected to any of the current Exfo platforms Max700B series OTDR, FTB-1, FTB-200 and FTB-500. It can also be connected into a PC and unlike it's predecessor the FIP-400 the FIP-400B has the licence for ConnectorMax 2 embedded in the probe itself.
